This piece is a play on the juxtaposition of nature versus contemporary modern. Inspired by Bower design firm and their “Melt” collection. The organic shape is the emblem of the effortless beauty and structure of nature. The rigid edges of wood and minimalist design of the chair are meant to represent the contemporary modern style of the piece. With the cushion which represents a waterfall or flowing water.

The sky was the limit with this chair project. We were given the directive to create any size chair of any kind of material, manufactured any kind of way as long as it had some soft element. This lead to the creation of structure of nature. Which is created out of, Red Oak Plywood and Veneer, Birch Plywood, Kerfkore, 3in Upholstery Foam, Upholstery Batting, Chicken Wire Fencing, Athletic Polyester Fabric.
